Dr. B.V.S. Sisodia is presently working as Professor and Head, Department of Agricultural Statistics at Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology, Kumarganj, Faizabad. Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Sisodia is the first one in the discipline of Agril. Statistics who received Jawahar Lal Nehru Award by ICAR in 1980 on his Ph.D. thesis work Entitled “on Prelirninary Test Estimators in Repeated Surveys”.
Dr. Sisodia has developed the Department of Agricultural Statistics and started M.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes at Kumarganj in Agricultural Statistics in the years 1996 and 2000, respectively. His research focus is in the field of small area estimation, model based inferences and calibration estimators in sample surveys etc..A new approach method of small area estimation has been developed by him in which it has been demonstrated that how statistics available at district level can be scaled down to small area, like Block/Panchayat level using time series data by applying linear regression model.

His work in sample surveys particularly in ratio method of estimation using coefficient of variation of auxiliary variable received attention of various research workers in this field.
